A set of two Dutch 17th century etchings, professionally framed in the 1960s.
Frame size 46x36cm (ca. 18×14″), visible picture 30x19cm (ca. 12×7,5″).
The first image bears the text “Afbeeldinge vande twee Bloedige Zeeflagen gehouden op den 7 en 14 Juny 1673 tussen de Maghtige Zee vlooten van Vranckryk en Engelandt tegen die vande Vereen Nederlanden” – A battle of the French and English fleets against the Dutch fleet on the 7th and 14th of June 1673.
The second image is headlined “t Eylandt MARTINIQUE”
Both pictures feature an old vertical fold, but are otherwise in good condition. The frames bear some deep scratches.
