A cutlass in the design of the British 1845 pattern, but not marked on the blade and with a brass grip and hilt. Blade 730mm long and 40mm wide at base, with substantial patina and old corrosion.The grip has about 1mm turning movement. The hilt is marked on the outside “LABOUCHERE”, French for ‘the butcher’ and is quite twisted.
