A Collection of 32 maps and drawings that document campaigns and battlegrounds of Julius Caesar. Printed in Vienna 1866 by Carl Gerold's Son Publishers. The collection bears the sub-title Maps of the Second Part, indicating that this is part of a compendium.
The sheets are mostly 38x27cm, with four 54x38cm folded to half, and in overall good condition. The edges are rather worn throughout, but the image areas are mostly unaffected. The cover page, though, is heavily torn, see last image.

Most plates are contemporary topographic maps captioned in French with positions of forces and field camps from Roman times noted in German/Austrian. The main purpose of this collection was certainly archaeology, but for layman Caesar enthusiasts they are compelling material as well.
